Remove Sidebar in a Specific Category

  • I have a two column theme and would like to utilize the entire area as one column for a specific category(7). How can I remove the sidebar just for that category and utilize the full horizontal space?

  • you can make a copy of your category (category.php, archive.php) template…. and rename it category-7.php

    it will then only be used by that category

    you then edit it to fit your needs, removing the call to the sidebar, etc. It may take a bit of work to adjust the content area to take up the full width, every theme is different

    Yup!

    you can call it either categroy-slug.php or category-ID.php and it will work! Gotta love options!!
