    Hello,

when I edit my blog page, I set the “display sidebar” option to “no”.
    However, the sidebar keeps displaying:
    https://beta.amapmontrouge.org/blog/

The template of the page is set to “blog” (from the quick edit menu).
I also tried to force $display_sidebar to false in the page-blog.php template, but it didn’t change anything.

I am obviously missing something, but can’t figure out what.
    Any suggestion will be appreciated.

    Kasutan

  • Have you tried clearing your cache after making this change?

That’s the first thing I would try, if you haven’t arleady.

Let me know if that works for you.

For a template to be used you can set it on a page you have set to be the “post page” in your settings reading.

Just leave the settings > reading select box for post page blank.

Thanks to all for your answers.

The suggestion from the theme author (leave the “select blog page” blank in WordPress reading settings) worked perfectly, thanks a lot!

Briijeshh, if you need to remove the sidebar from one page in particular, go to “all pages”, select “quick edit” for your page, and set “Template” to “fullwidth”.

    Thank you for resolving this!

Leaving the “select blog page” blank in WordPress reading settings worked for me as well.

    Much appreciated!
