• I love Kale, such a classy and clean theme! However, as nice as the simplicity is I can’t see any way of choosing a template for a particular page. I’m looking for a full-page template that would hide the sidebar from my blogs page (As the sidebar is set to show recent blogs it doesn’t need to be there when looking at the list of blogs!)

I’ve seen a guide on creating a full-width page template for a theme that doesn’t have one, but I can’t see anywhere of choosing the page theme in the page editor. Is it hidden?
    Thanks

  • Hi @b3nb123,

Thanks for the kind words! Really appreciate that.

On standard pages you can select the template under Page Attributes, but the blog posts page uses a built in template that doesn’t change in the free version of Kale. You could use a plugin to change the sidebar content to something other than recent posts on this page, but that may not be a viable solution for your site. If not, your best bet may be creating a child theme and modifying it to suit.

Hope this helps, I’m sorry for the trouble!
