Remove sidebar for forum page

Hi,

I am using the theme sp142. I am trying to remove the sidebar from a page that I intend to add a forum too (need full width of page), and I know the way to do that is to have a custom template and remove the `<?php get_sidebar(); ?>
` But I have checked every other custom template to copy (archives.php, links.php etc.) and cannot find that piece of code to take out.

Any Help?

Hi Samboll,

Thanks for trying to help. I figured it out, the <?php get_sidebar(); ?> is in the footer.php, so all I had to do was take that out save as forum_footer.php then link to it in the template.

I’m having the exact same problem with using phpbb3, and since page.php is the only page that is used as a template i have to make the changes there? I removed <?php get_sidebar(); ?> from it and changed the name to forumpage.php, but my forum won’t resize itself to the full content width.

I am using the Arras theme.

I guess what i’m asking for is how to remove the sidebar from header.php or whatever document it might be, but just for the page where the forum lies. Any ideas?
