I’ve just had an alert from Google…

“Remove risky access to your data”

Having looked into this further, it appears to be this plugin, although I may be wrong.

Apologies if this is referring to a different GA Extension.

    Any ideas?

Wondering if this is a new Google feature that will trigger the warning with any GA plugin or if it’s specific to this plugin. Is there a setting that can be changed to reduce access?

    Hi @kwebdesign,

Thanks for the feedback but no this is not related to GA Google Analytics plugin. There are several ways to tell:

    – GA Google Analytics plugin never refers to itself as “GA Extension”
    – GA Google Analytics plugin does not have “access” to any Google Analytics data
    – GA Google Analytics plugin is not an “app”

The warning must be referring to something else, like an actual app with “GA” in the name that also has access to GA data, etc.
