Remove Recent Posts header

    I am creating a custom front page – where the recent posts header & recent posts is currently set, I want to remove that and replace with a block of text (that will stay permanently without the need for constant updates). Can you give me some guidance. Can I simply replace that section with a text/html widget? If so where do I look

    you can replace the recent posts section with your own text in the custom-home-page.php file. The section you are looking for is:

    <div class="section_thumbnails group">
