• I have a box on the home page that has A Note from the Pastor and links to his recent posts. I want this section to stay on the site.

If you scroll down there’s a section showing up that says “Recent Posts” and has excerpts from each post. THIS is the section I’d like to remove/hide.

I’ve tried a couple of suggestions I’ve found in the forums, but none has worked to remove that area.

    Thanks!

I’m using the FAITH theme FYI.
    Thanks

    Hello,

You can’t easily remove that, as default WordPress behavior expects to display posts on the homepage.

You can however set a static page as your homepage, then that block won’t be displayed.

    Best regards,

Unfortunately that removed the box with the posts I want to keep, the calendar and removed the link boxes below.

But the “Recent posts” moved up and remained on the page. Which is opposite of what all the fixes I’ve read say should happen. It’s weird.

I may just have to live with it on there as I don’t want to lose all the other items we want to keep on our home page.

    Thanks for the information.

Set the static page to use the Homepage custom page template, then it should look like our demo.

Thanks I’ll give it a try!
