Remove query strings from static resources

    Love the plugin so far and it has improved my score in Many testers but now seeing ‘remove query strings from static resources’, can the plugin do this or can I request this feature added to the next update please if not? Many Thanks

    Hi,

    The query string from staticresource removal has a real impact on WordPress plugins, it means that in case of plugin update, an old file version of a plugin file maybe served and generate some bug and problems in the plugin behaviour. That’s why it’s not included by default in WP Speed of Light.

    Furthermore, if you don’t use a CDN there’s almost no impact on performance even if you find it mentioned in Pingdom for example.

    But, we’ve planned to add this feature as an option when the CDN feature will be added in our plugin.
