I’m having a problem displaying the Q&A section in the course page. I have translated the courses slug and now I get a 404 page when I click in this section.

When I return to the original “courses” slug, when I click in the Q&A section, I don’t get a 404, but I don’t get to see the Q&A, nothing really happens.

So, facing so many problems with this, I really would like a solution to get rid of this tab in the course page. I need the Q&A to be functioning in the course, but if I can’t make it work in the front page, at least I’d like to stop it from displaying so my students won’t know there is a bug.

    Any help is much appreciated.

I have just realized that the user dashboard menu is not working as well. The structure seems fine but when you click there is no action. Seems to be a javascript problem? Not sure.

No idea of why and how to fix it, really would love any insight. Thank you!

    Hello @lucianamorin,

You can share the name of the translation plugin you used for translating course slugs. We can then use it to test from our end.

You can go to Tutor Settings > Course to check whether you disabled Q & A option.
Also check your permalinks settings if it is set to Post Name.

You can also customize course homepage template from the following path \wp-content\plugins\tutor\templates\single\course\course-topics.php

Regarding “Dashboard” please go to Tutor Tools > Tutor Pages to make sure you haven’t deleted or altered the default Dashboard. Then check from Tutor Settings > General if the default Dashboard is assigned.

If you want you can customize the default dashboard by overriding it from your child theme but don’t edit or delete the default one. For more details on overriding Tutor templates you can visit our documentation

    Hi @munayam,
Thank you for the quick response.

I’m using the Permalink Manager (by Maciej Bis) plugin to change the slugs.

I haven’t disabled the Q&A option, in fact, it is working well internally. The dashboard also looks perfect. I don’t wish to override it.

My problem is that the menus tabs don’t work at all. When I click in any option form the dashboard menu, nothing happens. Same with the Q&A tab in the menu from the course page.

Any chance you can take a look to see what I mean?

    Thank you!

I realized the google drive file was set private, sorry! I have changed it so anyone with the link can see it.

    Hello @lucianamorin,

      Tutor Tools > Tutor Pages
Next, from Tutor Settings > General.
      Tutor Settings > Student

    Hi,

I took the screenshots. The platform is all in portuguese, but I have also taken a screenshot using google translator to translate it to english so you can have a better idea of its contents.

I have never changed the tutor pages, didn’t touch them whatsoever. I have uninstalled the plugin completely and reinstalled several times, not making any special adjustments. The menus never worked properly, I tested before changing slugs again and it was already fault.

Tutor Tools > Tutor Pages ENGLISH / PORTUGUESE
Next, from Tutor Settings > General. ENGLISH / PORTUGUESE
Tutor Settings > Student ENGLISH / PORTUGUESE
Tutor Settings > Instructor ENGLISH / PORTUGUESE

    Tutor LMS Version 1.6.8
    Wordpress Version 5.4.2
    PHP version 7.3.6

    Thanks again

    Hi @munayam ,

I have also tested with other themes and the bug is persistent, so it’s not a theme problem. Don’t have any idea of how to proceed.

    Hello,

Thanks for sharing the info. You seem to have edited default Tutor Pages – you renamed all three pages- Dashboard to Control Panel, Student Registration to Student Registration Page and Instructor Registration to Instructor Registration Page. Then assigned these newly created pages to Tutor Settings.

Sorry to disappoint but you can’t edit these pages but you can override them from your child theme. You can follow the instructions given in our documentation
    https://docs.themeum.com/tutor-lms/developers/override-templates/

Remember to re-assign your custom pages from the plugin’s settings. You can go with the defaults if you are unable to override.

    Hi @munayam ,

As I explained earlier, my wordpress is in portuguese. I have used the google translator to facilitate your understanding of the settings, but it’s not perfect.

I haven’t renamed any of the pages. Is simply that the translation from google is different from the original wordpress name. The plugin is exactly set as it was installed.

Any way, I override all three pages just in case. The bug remains intact.

Just to be clear: this dashboard menu and the “q&a/announcements” tab never worked. I have never seen them functioning.

I just don’t have the knowledge of how they work to actually problem-seek.

    Hi @munayam,

Any light you can give me?

    Hello @lucianamorin,

The screenshot you shared of the English version of Tutor Tools > Tutor Pages appears to be edited/altered so I suggest that you switch to the default ones by regenerating them all.

To customize these pages please follow the instructions given in our documentation
    https://docs.themeum.com/tutor-lms/

    @munayam

Please, I have explained before, the pages names haven’t been altered, EVER. They are exactly as installed and I have regenerated them just to be sure, since you asked. I have said this already.

This is NOT the origin of the problem. Could we please get any other idea of what might be the issue here?

The pages look perfect, it seems to be a problem with the menu function. I don’t know where to look, really need help, but we need to move forward from this first suspition, please.

I really appreciate any help you can give me.
