thanks, but I don’t see other versions of flare with the link you sent.

Did you scroll down to the list of “Other Versions”? They’re all right there with links.

I’ve downgrade to the previous version as @esmi said.

Bad idea to show ads in a sharing button ??

Here is a stat that is not too encouraging for us users:

Daily downloads were around 100 to 150 a day. Since update with that ad, 1066 downloads on July 4th. This stat will not encourage the plugin author to remove the ad.

I like the plugin and would be willing to pay 10 dollars for it if the ad could be removed.

Maybe submit your plugin to Theme Forest?

Does the daily download count also take into account updates? If so, that would explain the really high download rate yesterday.

@thelaw84, I didn’t think about that effecting the count. That would make since.

thanks so much! I did find the older versions of flare, once I download it, how do I get it moved into my wordpress account? I presently have it downloaded to my desktop.

Your WordPress installation will bug you to update to the latest version of any plugin and that’s really good advice (generally).

You can however manually install that old plugin zip file via your dashboard.

thanks so much Jan, you have been helpful! do you know which older version does not have the purple lightening bolt icon and where the actual counters work?

I also noticed that in the new 1.2.3 version, the share for reddit doesn’t work. Just brings up a blank box.

Works now I have rolled back to 1.2.2.

It is annoying seeing the update icon in my wordpress dash though, it does my OCD no favours!

thanks! so you don’t have the purple lightening bolt icon and your counters work now? how did you install the old version into your wordpress?

Like Jan explained; go into your wordpress plugin admin and hit ‘add’ and ‘upload’.
Upload the zip from there. Make sure you delete the old version first.
