Remove Product categories on product sort bar

You can adjust your Side Bar or Catalog Filter Bar through Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets

it’s not a widget though. it’s in the grey bar above the products? isn’t that the products sort bar? I can’t find any area that turns off those categories?

What I see is:

Catalog Filters Bar

And within that – Catalog Category filter (If I remove that, then those categories don’t show.

(I don’t see a “Product Sort Bar”, but I have a “Catalog Sort widget” in my “Catalog Filter Bar”)
