• Hi together!

Does anyone know if there’s a way of removing the links to the previous and next posts at the bottom of a post? Is there a solution to remove it without making a child theme? I couldn’t find an integrated preference to remove it, but honestly I think it should be added as the feature is a little irritating. I have categories that are strictly different from each other, and it makes no sense to have a link to other posts at the end of a post, that will link to a post that is not in the same category and has nothing to do with the post the user is currently reading. Do you know what I mean?

Please add this feature. ?? It will make WP even better than it already ist. It’s such an awesome project. Glad people created this. Peace everyone!

The appearance of such links is theme dependent, as would the ability to show them or not through a theme setting or customizer. Some WP template tags that output such links have filters where you can alter the appearance or suppress entirely. You can add filter code to a site specific plugin or child theme. You could directly edit your theme’s code instead, but then your changes will be lost during the next update.

A quick, persistent, safe from updates, and relatively easy way to suppress links is to hide them with CSS rules added to the customizer Additional CSS panel. If you need help determining such CSS, we will need to see a live version of a typical page like t-p has already asked for.
