Remove Posts from Main Loop

  • I want to remove posts from the main loop. I’m using a plugin but that seems not to work with Sense Lite. It works with another theme I use on another site. I wonder if there’s another way. This is what I want: I want to assign a post to one or more categories and the post only appears under the categories that were selected, excluding the main loop if it wasn’t selected.

    If I understand correctly, you want to show posts only in the categories they exist in? Is your blog home page on the front page of your site?

    Yes, you understand correctly. The home page is the front page and it has a category called ‘main loop’.

    You would need to use a plugin for this, although I know you said you are using a plugin for this, but it’s not working with Senses Lite. Perhaps contact their support and find out what could the problem be? Or, you can try another plugin.

    The only method I can think of is to create a child theme and then modify the theme’s loop.
