Remove posts below Slider

There have been something like 3 threads on this asking the same question, and none have been answered as far as I know.

Possibly because no one have a good answer for it, as the theme uses the blog index page for the slider which is meant to lists posts/show pagination below. I don’t think there is any plugin that excludes all posts from the blog home, without breaking the pagination. Not sure though.

The way to approach this instead would probably be to add a custom page template via a child theme, and include the /inc/featured.php partial in it at the top (may need modifications to work on a page template). Then set a static page as frontpage, with the custom slider template set as page template.

there is a solution. I use the pluging “Home Categories” to filters all (!) the categories of posts shown on my front page.
In most home page plugins you cannot set the number of posts to zero (which actually makes sence…) but in this case you can set all categories as a hiding filter. So all the posts get filtered/eliminated and you only see the featured slider!

what if you would make 1 post with your info in a seperate category and aloow that category on the frontpage?
