"Remove Post from Cache" link no longer available?

It used to be, each page and post had a link on the directory listing and within the document to delete that particular item from the cache. This was very handy when testing changes to an individual item. This feature seems to have gone away in the most recent release. The only other option is to purge the entire cache. Why?
