    It seems possible to

    1. activate the plugin
    2. upload svgs
    3. use them on your site
    4. delete the plugin
    5. SVGs stay up on the site and in the content fine and can be put into new content.

Is this right or is this a bad idea?

You lose the visual svg preview in the media library but the file name does display and of course you lose the ability to upload more SVGs through the media library.

But if you got this plugin just to upload a specific set of SVGs that are now in the media library it seems a reasonable idea to then remove this plugin right?

Hi, I don’t believe they will display on the front end anymore… but I may be wrong. If that’s working for you, there may be other SVG implementation in your theme or something.
My plugin is very lightweight really, I personally have it installed on every site I build and leave it with no issue.
