Remove Pets

You can use this css to hide the dogs and cats dropdown fields from the filters:

select[name="filters[dogs]"], select[name="filters[cats]"]{
    display: none;
}

That worked beautifully. Thank you! I added it as Additional CSS under Appearance > Customize.
