• I have Twenty Twenty-Four parent theme with my own custom child theme. That’s the way I need to do it right now, but I cannot find how to restrict or remove the parent style variations in the style editor, e.g. rust, maelstrom, ice etc, except by removing the json files from twentytwentyfour/styles so it will take ONLY the customised json file from the child theme. The trouble is, I worry that these will come back any time the parent theme gets an update. I have to restrict the options of colours etc, but allow the client to use the theme editor to adjust templates etc. The danger is they click the style variations by accident and the site looks totally wrong for the brand. And I believe it should be something that can be controlled by a filter call, etc. Is there anything that might work yet?
