Remove pages from Google

    Hello,
    On my Search Console Google page I could see that I have 73 error pages and they all come from from the shortlinks created by this plug-in.

    all my shortlinks have : site.com/blog/recommends/my-product

    I blocked them in robots.txt:
    Disallow: /blog/recommends/

    Obviously, when I look at Search Console now I can see that:

    Submitted URL blocked by robots.txt

    Is there a way to remove these pages from Google?

    Thanks a lot for your plug-in, I’ve been using it for a long time now!

    Hi Michael,

    It’s good to have them blocked in the robots.txt file but it sounds like they might still be part of your sitemap.

    What SEO plugin are you using?

    On their SEO > Search Appearance > Content Types you can set it to not show affiliate links in the search results. That should remove them from your sitemap as well.
