remove original-source tag

    hello, it is possibile remove original-source tag in a specific custom page? with canonical tag i add
    add_filter(‘wpseo_canonical’, ‘__return_false’, 10, 1);
    exists a similar command for this tag?

  • Hi,

    While Yoast does not have the feature to remove that tag (other than editing the plugin’s core code to remove it yourself) our developers will be removing the tag from the plugin entirely. This is because Google no longer uses it. You can view the issue report here: https://github.com/Yoast/wpseo-news/pull/416.

    The tag will be removed in News SEO v7.8. We are not sure when that will come out but you can expect the tag to be removed in that version.
