Thanks for fixing the issue/bug with not being able to hide notifications with the latest release.

But it should be a reminder that this feature is a big time waster. Most of the time, it is not informative. And to hide it needs unncessary effort and time every time. Imagine millions of users doing it.

    Please consider removing this feature.

    Hello Ramanan!

We understand you found the notifications not useful. Just to verify, are you referring to the notifications under SEO > General or the notification badge in the WordPress top toolbar?

We believe that all of the notifications you receive, whether it’s about a new plugin update or release, or if there’s something on your website that needs your attention, are important and would add value so you can continue to optimize your website. Of course, you can always click on the ‘eye’ icon in the WordPress dashboard to hide the notification.

You can, however, disable the notifications from the Yoast SEO plugin from the admin bar. To learn more about how to do that, please refer here.

That shows how to remove Yoast SEO from the admin bar.

Any way to just disable notifications?

@superpoincare Thanks for your reply. In regards to your question, no, there isn’t a way to completely disable notifications from the Yoast SEO plugin.

However, the reason the previous support technician mentioned that, is the Yoast SEO area of the admin bar is where the indicator for notifications appears from within the WordPress admin overview.
