Remove nggallery shortcode from post content without removing tag

Hi there,

I am newbie to PHP, so I really need some help from all the experts at here.

I would don’t want to display my nggallery from my custom post in some of the template. So I wonder how can I remove / hide nggallery while not stripping off all the style e.g. <p> from my content?

I manage to achieve some luck by removing the nextgen gallery but removing the <p> style at the same time – I have try preg_match, preg_replace, remove_shortcode, strip_shortcodes… but nothing seem working perfectly.

If anyone can show me how to do so will be great.
