I used this Accordion Block plugin to successfully build an FAQ on another page, but when I tried to use it again for a different page, I somehow ended up nesting some of the items.

I do not want any nested items, but can’t figure how to remove the nesting and make them their own item. I’d also like to know the mistake I made to inadvertently nest them so I can avoid it next time.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

This plugin makes use of inner blocks, allowing you to use any block inside of the accordion content. The downside of this is that you can accidentally place an accordion item inside the content of another accordion item. From my understanding, there is currently no way for me to limit it so you can’t insert another accordion item into the content. If that changes, I’ll certainly update the plugin.

To prevent yourself from adding an accordion to the content of an existing accordion, check the Block Navigation (accessible from an icon in the toolbar) to see the hierarchy of your blocks. Basically you just need to be careful. Sorry I don’t have a better answer :(.

As for how to fix it, the easiest way is to use the built in drag and drop functionality of Gutenberg. When you have an accordion block selected, to the left you will see a toolbar with an up arrow, a down arrow, and an icon with 6 dots. You can click and drag the 6 dots icon to move the block. Simply drag it out of the other accordion item content, and drop it somewhere at the top level of your content.
