Remove messages at the top of Stats (annual report. and enhanced stats)?

    This is a small problem but is annoying to me.

    There are two messages at the top of the stats page…

    “Did you know you can view enhanced stats on the WordPress.com homepage? Check it out now Now with 100% more visitor stats!” and…
    “Check out the fireworks you created on your 2012 Annual Report.”

    They have been there since around the first of the year. I have seen the data they are promoting and think it’s great, but now I just want those messages to go away. Is there a way to make that happen?

    You could use CSS to hide these notices. However, it’s worth noting that you might miss next year’s Annular report if you forget to unhide both notices.

    Try adding the following plugin to your site to hide both notices:

    But why should I have to do anything to hide these notices? They only appeared at the end of the year to advertise new info. Obviously they were inserted by Jetpack, so they should be removed by Jetpack after a period of time. The annual report message can be inserted again at the end of this year (and every year) but removed after a couple of weeks.

    This is like putting a Merry Christmas message up and leaving it there the whole year – or making the user do something to remove it.

    The Annual Report message will disappear by itself after a while; the link to your stats on WordPress.com, however, will remain, since it allows you to access data that’s not available in the Jetpack stats dashboard yet.

    OK. I guess I’ll have to live with it. But it would be nice if it weren’t right at the top since I’ve seen it already for two months. I think it would be better if it were a link on the side.
