Remove lower post thumbnails on home page

  • Right now on our site the upper slider and the lower thumbnails duplicate the same information. How can I either:
    a. remove the bottom thumbnail links
    OR BETTER
    b. tell them to select a SPECIFIC CATEGORY of post (right now it appears to be whatever is latest).
