• I’ve added a menu in my left sidebar on a 2015 child theme. One of the menu items contains sub items. When I click on the main menu item that contains the sub items, I get a “Nothing Found” message. I would like the main menu item to not be a link of any kind. Just a heading. Is this possible? Thank you.

  • If you are using the menu management system in the admin area, you can add a custom link as the header entry and in place of the URL just put a #

There are probably other ways to accomplish this.

Thank you Bob, the custom link with # worked. However, the heading text still looks like a link (pointer changes to a pointing hand) when I hover over it. Doesn’t go anywhere, just looks like a link.

Unless there are other suggestions, I can live with this. Thanks for your help!

I really do not like this solution either to be honest, but I have lived with it in the past. I am completely open to learning a new way to do this.
