Remove link from slide?

  • In the old days when i made websites with dreamweaver, in html, it was easy to edit the content on my index.html. But what do I do now that there is’nt a index.html?
    I have a slider on my frontpage displaying some pages with featured pictures. They show up as “hotspots” but I really just want them to be pictures that does not link to anything, or show the hand om mouseOver

    when I test my site and go to “View source” I it looks just like the old htmlfiles I use to work with and I can see what I wanna change, but I cant find the file anywhere in my wordpress directory.
    What do I do?
