Hi,

I just took a look at your website. I’m not sure where you mean ‘above the widget area’ – do you mean in the footer, or right at the top, above your logo?

I was able to remove the line using this snippet of code:

footer[role="contentinfo"] {
  border-top: none;
}

You can paste this code in your child theme’s style.css or in a custom css plugin such as Simple Custom CSS.
