    Hello!

Just activated your plugin on a new website, hoping your cookie bottom bar doesn’t need jquery (my theme and framework are based on vanilla js). This doesn’t happen, so looks like what you said in the changelog – Major update: the cookie bar is now inserted into the page via wp_footer rather than using jQuery (for better performance and greater browser compatibility) – is not happening on the front-end.

Are you planning on really removing jquery dependancy from the bottom cookie acceptance bar? If yes, do you have an ETA for this? Thanks ??

    Hi @ricaneaga,

We changed the cookie banner rendering from Jquery to wp_footer() but the functionality of the bar is still Jquery dependent.

As it requires considerable changes in the plugin code, we cannot commit an ETA.

Thanks for the reply. Hope you’ll also update your plugin soon, so no jquery is called on the frontend. Until then luckily I have the “Cookie Notice for GDPR & CCPA” freee alternative.

    Thanks again ??
