Remove insert to wp_comments

    W are running several blogs where there is no need for comments.

    Rather than installing askimet, spam blockers, etc., I would prefer to comment out any code that inserts data into wp_comments and also remove any code that sends email to the moderator, as there will be no comments to moderate. Seems to me that if comments can not be inserted in the database there will be no spam.

    As anyone done this and where would I look for the code. So far no luck. Would appreciate any help.
