Remove Infinite Scroll on Fullwidth Gallery Page

  • Hello — I want to start of by saying that I really love the Gridsby theme, and I am very impressed by its fantastic design.

    The issue that I am running into is that on a page created using the Fullwidth Gallery Page template, there does not seem to be a way to turn off or remove/disable infinite scroll. At first this was not a problem, but now that I have over 1,000 images up, I am finding that whenever this page is loaded it takes a REALLY long time (because the computer is bogged down with loading all 1,000+ images). It would be fantastic if there is a way to turn off infinite scroll and have it pull up 100 to 200 images at a time (perhaps with a next/previous set of buttons at the bottom) — I have tried playing around with the code (I am very much not a coder) but was not able to get anywhere successfully with it. Has anyone else had the problem I am having (slow load with infinite scroll once you have a high quantity of images up) and how did you get around it?

  • I have this problem with only 150 images.
    It’s just too big to load all at once. I’ve been trying to figure out a solution unsuccessfully.
    I would love to have just 50 on one page and pagination at the bottom to the next page (and back).

    Did you come up with a solution or what other theme did you go with?

    The option to control your gallery size is currently only available in the Pro version of the Gridsby Theme.

    @modernthemesnet – Does that include the Full-Width Gallery? Does it have pagination?

    Yes, it includes full-width gallery and gallery category archives. They will have “Newer” and “older” pagination buttons.

    Specifically, does the Full-Width Gallery have pagination?
    If I have 100 images in the gallery and set it to 50, will I have pagination at the bottom.
    Can you link me to a sample or screen shot?
