Remove image slider for custom page template

  • Hi – I have a few of questions / queries re your fab theme:

    1. I would like to remove (or be able to add specific images to each page) the header slider (under the header) for my sub pages. I have created a child theme and a custom page template, but, not being technical I can’t find the call for the slider (carousel). I have checked all the page templates, I looks like it should be in the content page? Please could you advise. I can’t provide a link to my site as am building it on my desktop.

    2. The front page template, has a Read More button, which doesn’t seem to do anything – is it possible to edit (add a link) or remove this?

    3. The search results page shows the 3rd text widget (on the right) in the footer, as centred text – should be aligned left as style for all the other pages.

    Hello vividesigns,

    1. You cannot add page specific images to the slider, but you can of course use the featured image if you wish.

    2. I see there is an error with the read more button as of now. I will fix this shortly. Thanks for making me aware ??

    3. The search results page widget area is made to only handle 2 widgets (or 4 or 6 ect.: even numbers).

    Many thanks for your reply. Perhaps a future update would allow page specific header images – or the ability to not have a header image on specific pages? I personally would like my site sub pages to look different to my main pages, to add variety and interest for the user. Re my query number three – it is the footer text widgets (of which three are allowed in the theme) which change to centred text on the search result page. These are aligned left on all other footers… just a small thing I know – but again for consistency I would like the footer to remain the same throughout the site.

    Still loving the theme…
