Remove Homepage header from F8 Lite 4.2.1 by Thad Allender

I am trying to remove the large header from the home page of the theme “F8 Lite 4.2.1 by Thad Allender”. I love this theme and it works great for my client’s page, but the header is really taking away from the overall user experience. The fact that you have to scroll down past this large header space to get to information and pages is knocking down page views. I have experimented some with the .css styles embedded in this code, but short of stripping the theme down, I haven’t been able to remove JUST the header and its div box. Removing the header image proved simple, but I was sad to see that its div box didn’t go with it.
