Remove highlights after search page

    Is there a way to remove highlights once the search result is selected?

    Example. I search for “lemons.” when I select an article with “lemons” in it, all instances of lemons is highlighted even though I’m no longer on the search page.

    ?highlight=lemons

    Is there a way to turn off highlights within the actual posts?

    Yes, because it’s an option you have to turn on in the first place. Just uncheck the “Highlight in documents” setting on the Settings > Relevanssi > Excerpts and highlights page.
