Remove Genesis header image

I just switched to a self hosted WordPress blog, and I’ve installed a child theme with Genesis as the parent theme. The theme didn’t come with a header option, so I used CSS to give myself the header image option, which worked. Now, though, I’ve got the Genesis image header on top of my uploaded image. Can someone please help?
