Remove gaps on Mystile theme

When breadcrumbs are visible, the gap appears between the breadcrumbs and the page content:

Very frustrating!!

A browser tool like Firebug will be VERY useful for this kind of CSS work – it shows this CSS margin and padding is causing that space:

#breadcrumbs {
    color: #C1B8B5;
    display: none;
    font-size: 0.857em;
    font-weight: bold;
    margin-bottom: 1.618em;
    padding-bottom: 1.618em;
}

So copy that part to custom CSS and change the margin and padding to 0.

Hello, I am having the same issue however when I place the code in with margin 0 and padding in custom.css nothing changes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In your case, it’s this bottom margin:

#header {
    border-bottom: 4px double #E8E4E3;
    clear: both;
    margin-bottom: 3.631em;
    padding: 1.618em 0 0;
    position: relative;
}

Try adding:

#header {
    margin-bottom: 0;
}

One of my million problems is that i want to get rid of the banner on mystile, please please! HOW DO I DO THAT?
If any i would like to have a image slider as a banner, but i know that is out of my hands at the moment.
