  • @diazeroone: There is no rule saying that plugin authors need to provide support for there plugin(s). Mind you it is a nice thing to have. You need to remember though that all the plugins on the www.remarpro.com Plugin Directory are free. No one gets paid if there plugin is here.

    Everyone wants premium service for free.

    I have no connection with the authors but I would hazard a guess that they have received close to $0 in donations for their work.

    According to WordPress’s own stats, this plug-in has over 500,000 active installs. If everyone who got benefit from it paid just $1, one time, these guys could give up their day jobs and spend the next 5 – 10 years addressing support issues, adding more features, improving existing code and ensuring they kept up with WordPress core changes.

    I do think it’s a shame that there isn’t a culture of donating to plug-in authors within the WordPress community.
