Remove footer from Academica Theme

I have been trying various options for removing the ‘Powered by WordPress / Academica WordPress Theme by WPZOOM’ from my wordpress website but its not working. The theme is Academica.

Some suggested that I use the edit function in appearance but there is nothing like that in appearance. I am having headache so please someone should help me.
