• Hi Elementor

We have ELementor Pro and are using your header template with conditional adding to post types. The issue is that the header template is including a sidebar and a footer, that are undeveloped, and often show through on pages when scrolling up to far or switching a phone from portrait to landscape (it is very unprofessional) that use the header. How do you turn these items off on the header so tha tit is blank like canvas. We use generatepress so I thought we would be able to turn these items of manually but this is also not availabe. Basically, we need to strip the header template just down to the header, is this possible?

    Thank you
    Geoffrey Lee

  • This is because it is grabbing your theme default template type which includes the sidebar and footer which means you did not create the header template correctly and it is a page or a post type.

I have no clue what Generatepress is nor do I care to look, but that is the cause.
If you hit edit header template with elementor in the top admin bar and hit exit to dash bar and are presented with a Gutenberg editor then your Header Template was created wrong. It should NOT be a Post or Page. It should be Type Header.

The fix: Dashboard > Elementor > My templates > Header tab
    Add New.
It now knows your intending to make a Header Template.
