Remove ‘Filed Under’ for post meta

I’ve tried to customize the Post Meta from this page: https://my.studiopress.com/documentation/snippets/post-meta-xhtml/customize-the-post-meta-function/

It’s not changing the markup for the plugin though. I simply just need to remove ‘Filed Under’ when displaying the category for Featured Posts in the widget. Can you advise on how I would do that?

EDIT: [post_categories before=””] solves this problem.
