Remove figcaption from showing in post excerpt

  • Hi,

    If I have an image with caption at the top of the post, WP will use it’s caption together with the rest of text to show excerpt (20-30 characters) at the main page.

    I would like to disable WP function that use figcaption together with the rest of text when generating post excerpt. I only want regular text to show as an excerpt.

    Example:
    This post has an image at the top: https://mreza.bug.hr/mreza-intervju-volimo-geekove-laszlo-burkus-qnap/
    …and on the main page https://mreza.bug.hr/ it uses 20 character excerpt in which the figcaption is included.

    Could someone help me, please?
