Remove featured image on blog

    Hello,

    New user to WordPress here, and I’m having difficulty figuring out how to remove the featured image from the blog post page. I need to have a featured image selected for each post so that the Content Views plugin will work on my static home page, but I don’t want those images to show up on the page for the blog.

    I tried installing the Hide Featured Image plugin but that didn’t seem to work.

    I’ve search the forums for removing the featured image, and have only found solutions for specific themes, none of which has worked for me yet.

    Any thoughts?

    I don’t understand exactly what your problem is , i looked at your page and see pictures and text as articles.
    If you don’t select a featured image it won’t show it. but i guess i misunderstand what your exact problem is ??
    try to explain it a little more , i’ll see if i can help you then.

    Hi Ed,

    The first image that shows up on each of the two test blog posts I have is the featured image. If you take a look at the first post (title “Test 1”), the same photo shows twice – once at the beginning of the post (what was designated as the featured image) and the second time in the body of the post (where I purposefully inserted it). However, when you click on the link to the blog post itself, the featured image doesn’t appear on the full page.

    Removing the designated featured image from “Test 1” will remove it from the blog page, but then it also removes it from the Content Views plugin on my static page (https://www.roaminglessonsphoto.com — at the bottom).

    What I’m trying to do is keep the designated featured image for each blog post, but then NOT have it show up anywhere on the blog page itself. Ideally, I’d like the featured image to be an image of something in the blog post itself, but not be repeated anywhere.

    Never mind, I figured it out myself with some custom CSS.
