Remove Featured Image from Post

  • Hello, is there a way to turn off the featured image on the post itself. I know I can remove it at the post edit page but if we use a widget that grabs the image then we want to have a featured image set. We just don’t want it at the top of the post.

    I meant on the blog page, not the single post page. I modified the loop.php to hide the thumbnail feature but I’m guessing it will get overwritten on an update. Is there a better way to suppress the featured image on the blog page? Thanks
