Remove empty space when there is no top “label” in a field section.
-
When you purposely leave the top “label” in a field blank, completely remove empty/blank area on the form when viewing on a website.
This function is essential for some forms and calculators:
When the first (top) label is empty in a field section, in many situations it would help a lot if that area can disappear (and not have any blank space left where the label would usually be).Example of one case:
Field 10 will contain a conditional formula that calculates using whichever specific unit of measurement is selected in Field 11.
Then Field 11 below it is a radio button field that has a default unit of measurement pre-selected, but also a couple other buttons for other options for units of measurement. The top label of Field 11 is **left blank** and I need to have the radio buttons very close to the number in Field 10.For instance:
Field 10.
Amount to use: ~~~ [numerical value as measured in milliliters (calculated from a formula)]
Field 11.
[blank] ~~~ [radio buttons (milliliters) (liters) (cups)]
The “Chlorine Dioxide in a Liquid Solution” calculator at https://www.coronavirusairmist.com/chlorine-dioxide-formulas is one I built with this functionality using Calconic_.
It is really essential to be able to have space disappear in some forms. Otherwise the visitor can’t make sense of text that is spaced far apart.
I just subscribed to Smart Forms and am very much looking forward to the capabilities it offers!
