  • Hi Ton,

We now have a version of AWPCP that allows you to edit the ad without going to the backend, if you are a registered user. It’s available by contacting me here: https://awpcp.com/contact/ It will publicly release in April.

You can also use the BuddyPress module to do editing on the front end as well. More info about that here: https://awpcp.com/premium-modules/buddypress-module/

Thanks for your very speedy reply !

I have no need for buddy press yet, so i want to avoid that at the moment.
I am still in the process of developing the website, so i can wait for the official release, if it will be released in April.

    Thanks again !

Not a problem. If you change your mind, just contact me above.

Hi there, i have installed the latest version (3.3.4), but when a user is selecting to edit their ad, they still got the admin (backend), how do i accomplish they stay on the frontend ?

    Hi AntoniusFM,

To get the full support for this, you need our current dev version. Contact me here to get it: https://awpcp.com/contact/

    Hi guys,

Thanks for the new version (3.4 Beta25) , i have installed it, but if a user edit’s its ad, it still goes to the backend, did i miss something, or do i need to change something in the settings ?

    Hi Antonius,

Yes, you do need to change a setting–do you have “Ad Management Panel” enabled under Classifieds->Settings, General? You need to disable that to make the front end the sole editor area.

You’ll also want to keep registration enabled, just FYI. That’s the combo of settings that gives you an edit button on each listing without the access key.

Hi thanks for that, that did the job. However now the administrator has lost it’s access to the “Ad management panel”, which is not desired. Is there a way to allow access for administrators only ? The setting “Who can access AWPCP Admin Dashboard”, would indicate you would ?

Disregards my previous response, i already found the listings tab. Thanks heaps for your outstanding support, and great plugin !!

You’re welcome. Please let me know if you have any other questions or issues!
