Remove Duplicate Images from WordPress

    Hi,

    Through some ineptness on my part, I have many duplicate images in my Wordperss installation–perhaps there are 2000 or more.

    These are not the same image resized, these are duplicates of many things, e.g., imageone.jpt 150x is duplicated, etc.

    How can I get rid of the duplicates. I can download them and perhaps use a duplicate file finder to remove images, but I’m a little unsure if this is safe.
