• Hi I have a mu blog with a sub blog and mapped a domain on it. The owner of the blog abandoned the blog and the domain. He now wants to recover his losses and I have no clue how to assist him.

The sub blog exists, the domain name is past tense and I can not access the back end because of the active domain mapping plugin.

Can you please tell me how to remove the plugin for this blog without affecting any other blog.

    Regards

    Johan

You should be able to disable the subblog from the network/super admin section, which you can access from the main blog. As for getting the info… Either use the edit blog feature and change it to something accessible, or extract the database tables from SQL.

Does he want to just kill the blog or get all his posts back?

He wants to use the blog again.

I went in as super admin but cannot remove the domain name. I think the only way is sql. That’s another story. Let me try….

Within SQL I need to find where I have added the mapped domain name and remove it. But where?

    I know the blog id…..

Which domain plugin are you using? I know in Donncha’s the super admin has another menu area to remove the mapping on particular blogs.

Or even super admin -> edit and change the values to the child blog.

Thanks. I am using wordpress 2.9.1.1 and Donncha’s 0.4.1. I have now updated to 0.5.? and now I have access to the super admin. Apologies for not updating to the latest before asking for support.
