Remove date picker placeholder

Hi,

My client requires the date format mm/dd/yyyy for the date picker. I have successfully changed the date format. My shortcode is [date* meeting-date date-format:mm/dd/yyyy min:today].

The placeholder that then shows is dd/mm/yyyy. I tried to edit this by adding placeholder "dd/mm/yyyy" but then the date picker does not display.

Is there a way to remove the placeholder in this field perhaps?
