Remove Date From Url?

  • I was able to replace the wp-content with “download” but i am unable to remove the date from the url… any ideas on how to do this? any info would be greatly appreciated!

    The URL of what? Media or posts or pages?

    If you are looking to change the URL of media attachements to remove the date you can change this by going to Settings > Media then uncheck the “Organize my uploads into month- and year-based folders” checkbox.

    If you are referring to posts or pages then you need to go set Settings > Permalinks, and then change the permalink structure to not include the date.
