I really enjoy using SEOPress’ content analysis. However, I have encountered an issue where it will show me warnings because the alt-tag hasn’t been set for certain images. Those images are background-images to which I can’t add any alt-tag. Would it be able to exclude background-images?

    Hi,

do you have a URL to check your source code please?

We don’t scan background images, they are probably images with img tag.

    Thanks

Thanks for the reply. For example, on this page, everything has an alt-tag (except possibly a few of the images in the related posts. Yet SEOPress flags the image used in the page hero.

I should also mention, that I use ShortPixel Adaptive Images which does serve images from a CDN. Could that be the cause?

In your source code you have this image called the beginning of your post content.

You don’t see it because the block is hidden with CSS.

    However, search engines see it.

Now I understand that. I didn’t even think of checking for anything like that. Thanks a lot! I’m glad to be a paying customer!
